CVS Health will reimburse you for the cost of your pharmacy technician certification exam and provide you with a raise once you successfully complete it. Certification is not required to work as a pharmacy technician at CVS Health, but it may give you a competitive edge when applying for jobs and can lead to career advancement.
To become a CVS Health pharmacy technician, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, complete a pharmacy technician training program, and pass the pharmacy technician certification exam. You must also be registered with the State Board of Pharmacy in which you will be working.
If you have not already done so, you will need to complete a pharmacy technician training program. CVS Health offers on-the-job training for pharmacy technicians at select locations.
