Texas Tech University had a student enrollment of 33,502 in the spring of 2015. The school had an on-campus headcount of 27,852 and a distance education headcount of 5,650. The student body was made up of 22,132 undergraduates and 11,370 graduate students.
As of Fall 2015, there are a total of 36,376 students attending Texas Tech University. Of these students, 28,313 are undergraduates and 8,063 are graduate students. The undergraduate student population is made up of 19,852 females and 8,461 males, while the graduate student population is made up of 4,317 females and 3,746 males.
In fall 2019, a record 40,107 students were enrolled at Texas Tech University. This is an increase of 1,377 students, or 3.6 percent, from the previous year. The university has experienced 14 consecutive years of enrollment growth and now has the second-largest undergraduate enrollment in the Texas Tech University System.
