Chris Beard is currently in his fourth season as the head men’s basketball coach at Texas Tech University. Under his leadership, the Red Raiders have made three consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including a run to the 2019 National Championship game. Beard has been named Big 12 Coach of the Year twice and was recently inducted into the Texas Tech Sports Hall of Fame.

He was hired on April 15, 2016.

And finally, in 2016, he was hired as the head coach of Texas Tech.
